It’s been a rather wild and wet couple of days here with a combination of high winds, heavy rain and mild temperatures.
Of course that combination does a number on the lake ice and this has been no exception. The ice has broken away from the shoreline in front of us and a wide swath of open water has appeared. Gotta love it, looks like Spring cannot be far away.
Or is that just wishful thinking?
Regardless, I braved the rain and wind and managed to snap a couple of quick pictures of the ice breaking up in the lake.
Some chunks of ice breaking up against the shoreline. By the look of it, the ice was not very thick to begin with.
More open water showing up.
Unrelated to the ice out, here is a pic of the full moon from a couple of nights ago. Not a bad picture considering I am more or less using a very unsophisticated camera. The camera I use is a Canon PowerShot ELPH 340 HS 16MP Digital Camera
Not a bad photo considering the simplicity of the camera.
