Geese Visit

As I was having supper tonight I looked out on the lake in time to see a flock of geese sitting on the ice. Having a break I guess on their flight to where they were going or coming from.

While geese are certainly not rare around these parts it is not too common to have them land on the lake. There are better geese places not far from here that are closer to the salt water or closer to open water. So a surprise visit is welcome.

Of course I grabbed the camera and ran for the door, knocking Wendy down on the way….thankfully she was not seriously hurt….nothing some Advil, heating pad and perhaps some physio-therapy can’t fix.

So…here are a few pictures of the geese.

Aside from the Canada Geese, the evening was cold and clear, a beautiful evening to look out on the lake.

Yesterday we had some rain and mild temps resulting in some “foggy” conditions as things melted.
