A beautiful sunny day in cottage country. The temperatures are soaring at plus 6 degrees, barely a breeze and the sunshine is actually melting some of the snow on the roof of our shed. The ice on the lake is like glass, but far from being able to hold my weight. It’s opening in the middle of the lake as I write this reminding me that varying temperatures cause all kinds of conditions on the lake.
Looking through the ice.
These are the days that make country living in winter tolerable if not better and everyday an adventure in the outdoors. Today Remi and I took a wander around and managed to snap a few pictures….

Good thing for Ice and Snow Traction Cleatson Wendy’s shoes, they make walking on slippery, icy surfaces much safer.
