Garmin GPS

I haven’t got a GPS unit, well not a handheld GPS unit. We do have one in our Dodge Caravan and I have to say, it is a marvellous item to have. If you have a good GPS, keep it updated with the latest GPS maps and information, you can go…well…anywhere you want to go.

Because I love our vehicle GPS I am thinking about getting a hand held GPS navigator unit for my infrequent hunting trips to the big old wilderness around the cottage. I currently use a compass, but that is so…well…old school. Besides I can think of ten reasons why I need a hand held GPS. Here they are:

1) With GPS I won’t get lost in the woods.

2) With GPS I won’t miss my favorite television shows because I am lost in the woods.

3) With GPS I won’t miss supper because I am lost in the woods.

4) With GPS I won’t cause a panic in the family because I am lost in the woods.

5) With GPS Ground Search and Rescue volunteers won’t miss supper because I am lost in the woods.

6) With GPS The RCMP won’t miss catching another speeder looking for me because I am lost in the woods.

7) With GPS I won’t have to spend a scary night hugging a tree because I am lost in the woods.

8) With GPS I won’t use up all my ammo firing “distress shots” into the air because I am lost in the woods.

9) With GPS I won’t have to face a lot of ribbing from my buddies because I got lost in the woods.

10) With GPS I won’t have to thank a whole bunch of people who searched for me, and go on television news because I got lost in the woods.

Yup, 10 reasons not to go in the woods without a hand held GPS unit. I am thinking that this Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Handheld GPS Navigator might be the answer.

It’s loaded with useful features and isn’t exceptionally expensive, in fact, as of this writing you can purchase one from Amazon for $279.99 a bargain, especially when you consider that ramifications of not having one when you go into the woods.
