If you’re like me you probably love to have a swim in your cottage lake. There is nothing quite as refreshing as plunging into the lake in summer and splashing around, maybe floating a lazy afternoon in a float tube, soaking your feet in the water and gazing up at the white fluffy clouds drifting by overhead.
I certainly love to do that. Not all the time, but occasionally, especially on those special super hot days that come so infrequently.
But I have one complaint. The bottom of the lake. It tends to be rocky and mucky, not really great for walking in barefeet.
When I was a kid we all had a pair of ‘sneakers’ that we kept on hand to wear in the water, particularly if we were chasing minnows in the shallows instead of swimming.
Well those days are gone in more ways than one, but in their place, are something even better. As Doctor Oz would say, “I’m talking about something even better….” in this case, “water shoes”
Yup, instead of sneakers, these days my shoe of choice for working around the shoreline or swimming are a pair of water shoes.
They are lightweight, comfortable, and made to be worn in and around the water. These make perfect footwear for boating and canoeing as well, with good traction soles and no problem if they get wet.
What started as a pretty basic shoe for swimming and windsurfing have evolved into some pretty fancy footwear. Shoes you can wear in and out of the water, made to drain quickly and look good doing it.
I’m talking about shoes like the Maui Surf Company Men’s Wake Water Shoe, a stylish, comfortable shoe featuring a non-absorbing mesh upper with an elastic fit system to keep them on when you are splashing in the surf or walking the shoreline of your cottage property.
They are easy to slip on and off and for extra comfort have a removable EVA sock liner and a non-marking rubber outsole to keep you on your feet both in and out of the water.
These water shoes are available for both men and
women with features that both will love.
