Hey Cottagers! It’s the end of a long weekend here in Canada, Thanksgiving actually, and we have just arrived home from our cottage after three days and nights of cottage living. What a wonderful time of year at the camp, the maple and birch trees are all turning to there autumn colors, the temperatures are great for working around outside, and the summer crowd has all but disappeared, leaving the place to us diehard cottagers.
Of course, it’s also time to start thinking about closing up the cottage, taking the water off, bringing home the food etc. Here is a link to a post I wrote some time ago, Closing The Cottage For Winter – A Checklist
Here is my little place beside the lake, this picture was taken yesterday. I am not sure I like looking at it because it reminds me off all the work I have to do….oh my…I am going to be busy next summer.
Have any of you ever seen one of these Tree Cats? They are very rare, but we have had one in one of our maple trees for years now. He just won’t leave. He seems pretty friendly though, you might call him a “cool cat” Click the picture for a better look and you will see what I am talking about.
