Merry Christmas and or Happy Holidays to all of our Cottage Chronicles friends from all of us here at The Cottage Chronicles….well…that is really just me but it sounds better if I say it like there is a whole team of people working behind the scenes to make this blog come true.
I apologize for my lack of posting of late, but unfortunately I have been busy around home with Christmas and work and all, and haven’t had much cottage living to write about.
I did make one trip to the cottage one cold night to pick something up and lo and behold couldn’t get in as the padlock was frozen, my lighter was empty, no lock deicer with me, and so it goes…..
The lesson for all of us is, if you have a padlock on your cottage, it’s a good idea to hang a cover over it to keep moisture out which should discourage freezing. I used to have something over mine, but alas it is gone and the lock frozen.
I did eventually get in, but not without a lot of needless effort. A lesson learned indeed.
Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year and we will be back together in no time with lots of great cottage posts!
p.s. If you are one of the lucky cottagers spending the holidays at your home away from home in the country, God Bless ya, drop me an email and let us all know how it went!
