Don’t forget to fill the gas tanks of all your cottage small gas engines, like lawn mowers, chain saws, outboards motors and the like. Get some gas stabilizer, available at hardware stores, pour the recommended amount as per the label instructions in your machine’s gas tank. Then, depending on the label directions you may want to run the motor for a minute to let the stabilizer mix throughtout the tank and engine.
Personally I am fond of pouring stabilizer in the gas tank. Then I shut off the gas and run the carburator dry, which usually stops the carb from gumming up over the winter months.
